25/02: Still not convinced
Ok, today we have a blue sky, fresh air, not to cold and Denmark is a really beautiful place.I also have a cold (4th day), still unemployed, no diving in the near future and everything seems very expensive.
I'm still debating if we should just pack the suitcases again and head off somewhere warmer. However, with the coming expansion I guess I have to adjust to the climate here, buy a drusuit, get a job and find a bigger place to live.
20/02: It's cold and white
We've had plenty of snow ever since our return to Copenhagen. We've also been up from 3 some mornings - it's not easy getting rid of jetlag when there's no work waiting for you. Saturday friends and family joined us at BarDutski for drinks, and it was good to meet everyone again. I had a minor hangover from Friday evening where I was out with Jesper, S?ren, Thomas and more - however I was not home at 6 like some others :o)16/02: Back in Denmark
24 hours flying is still no fun, but it did get us all the way to Denmark. Thanks to Chris for meeting us in Sydney airport, thanks to S?ren for meeting us in Bangkok airport and thanks to the family for meeting us AND bringing wither clothes in Copenhagen airport. We've now got new phone numbers, so SMS and calls should be made to: Tina +45 5014 7993 and Kristian +45 5014 7991.
12/02: Sharks'n BBQ
Yesterday ended in great style on Shelly Beach - Thanks to everyone showing up to our BBQ. Despite a couple of mosquito bites and a hangover today everything went fine.In fact, yesterday everything went fine. My last dives in Australia (for a while) were better than I could wish for. Blue sky, light breeze and 15-25 meters viz at Magic Point. Plenty of Grey Nurse Sharks, some of them even came out of the cave to play and eat. One of them were close enough to be touched (I had no desire to do so), another grabbed a large tuna, bit it's tale of and ate all of it in 20 seconds...sweet :o)
Todays tasks - clean Jespers apartment, pack and maybe a quick trip to the city.
10/02: 3 down 2 to go!
Yesterday Chris and I went to Bare Island and had 2 very nice dives - despite the fact that my computer crashed 60 minutes in to the first dive. As the conservative diver I am!!! I had my backup and all was good. I was a bit upset though, as it has now broken 3 times in as many months. The manufacturer has now promised to change all the internal parts, and it'll be back in the shop tomorrow. Today a last visit to Shelly was on the agenda. We only had 1 tank each, never the less we managed to make a record 125 minute dive. Starting on the right side, going around the corner, then going back to the turn and headed South to the left wall and back to shore.Just recently I dived with Phil and Chan on their last dive on Shelly.....guys, now I know what it feels like :o(
09/02: Taste of Denmark
Back from Tasmania and trying to get warm again. Well, not exactly true - but Tassie does remind a lot about Denmark in Summer.....wind, rain, changing weather etc. Never the less, we really enjoyed our trip. We started in Launceston and went down the west coast to Cradle Mountain Then we continued on to Strahan where we went for a little cruise. Next stop was a farm close to Hamilton where we spent the night on a housebout. We agreed we'll have to explore the houseboat vacation further at a later stage. Finally we ended up in Hobart and from there we spent a day in Port Arthur and ? a day wine tasting :o)More pictures are to come later when I get my pc back with all my own software!!!
